Overview

This policy explains what happens to information when you use www.alsaeedhumanitarian.org.ng. It is written to describe this website as it actually works, and it will be updated if that changes.

This is an informational website. It has no user accounts, no login area, no shopping or donation facility and no database. The Foundation does not sell, rent or trade personal information under any circumstances.

Information you choose to give us

The only personal information the Foundation receives through this website is information you deliberately send to us — for example your name, email address, telephone number, organisation and the content of your message.

The enquiry form on the Contact page does not transmit anything by itself. When you complete it, your browser opens your own email application with a message prepared and addressed to the Foundation. Nothing leaves your device until you press send in your own email application, and the message travels through your email provider in the ordinary way.

How enquiry information is used

Information you send is used only to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to continue the conversation it begins — for example about volunteering, a possible partnership or supporting a programme.

Your details are not added to any marketing list and are not passed to third parties for their own purposes. Correspondence is retained for as long as it is needed for the matter it relates to, and for the Foundation’s ordinary record-keeping.

Technical information collected automatically

Like almost all websites, this site is delivered by a web hosting service which keeps standard server logs. These typically record the internet address (IP address) that made a request, the date and time, the page requested and basic browser information. Such logs are generated by the hosting provider for security, diagnostics and reliability, and the Foundation does not use them to build any profile of individual visitors.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies, and it does not use local storage or any similar technology to track visitors. No consent banner is shown because there is nothing to consent to.

Analytics

No website analytics service is installed on this site at the time of writing. If analytics are introduced in future, this policy will be updated before or at the point they are added.

Third-party content

All images, fonts, stylesheets and scripts used by this website are hosted on the Foundation’s own domain, so simply viewing a page does not send a request to any third-party service.

The Contact page contains a link to Google Maps so you can look up our office location. That link is not followed unless you choose to select it. If you do, you leave this website and Google’s own privacy policy applies to what happens next.

Where this website links to another organisation’s site, the Foundation is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of that site. We would encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

Security

The Foundation takes reasonable and proportionate care with the information it holds and restricts access to correspondence to those who need it in order to respond. No website or method of electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and you should avoid sending sensitive personal information, financial details or identity documents by email unless we have specifically agreed a secure way of doing so.

Children

This website is intended for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices

You may ask the Foundation what correspondence it holds from you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, by writing to the email address below. You may also ask us at any time to stop contacting you.

This policy may be updated from time to time so that it continues to describe the website accurately. The current version is always the one published on this page.
